Autism Assessments

Autism is a lifelong neurodevelopmental difference that shapes how a person communicates, connects, and experiences the world. Our private autism assessments for children, teenagers and adults are designed to understand each individual’s unique strengths and support needs, so we can work with you to create a practical, affirming support plan.

Private Autism Assessments for Children From the Age of 18 months

Our assessments are conducted face-to-face or online, and utilise gold-standard tools such are the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule-Second Edition (ADOS-2), which involves direct observation and interaction with your child, and the Autism Diagnostic Interview-Revised (ADI-R), a thorough, structured interview with parents or caregivers. This approach ensures that we gather a detailed understanding of your child’s strengths, challenges, and unique profile therefore supporting an accurate diagnosis by helping to guide next steps for intervention and support.

Initial Assessment

Our team will complete an initial screening to gather information to supplement further evaluation.

ADI-R or Developmental History

We will use the ADI-R or developmental history as part of a gold standard assessment tool. This assessment is conducted with a caregiver and can last up to 3 hours.

ADOS-2

We will contact you to schedule ADOS-2 as part of your evaluation and invite you to our clinic. The assessment will last between 45 and 60 minutes.

Multidisciplinary Discussion

Assessments will be discussed within a multidisciplinary team to help us consider the information collected and formulate the assessment outcome.

Feedback Appointment

Once we have concluded the assessment outcome, our team will arrange a feedback appointment to discuss it thereafter. This will last about an hour, and you can ask any questions you may have.
